All Asia Tag Team Championship Tournament

The Headhunters
vs.
The Titans

The ring stains as all four men stand in the ring during the introductions. The bell rings and the match quickly degenerates into an all out war. Leviathan is in the ring with Headhunter 2 and is reeling under the savages attack. He backs into the corner and delivers a big kick to the Headhunters face! Headhunter 2 staggers back and Leviathan follows up with a HUGE CHOP!!! The Headhunter falls to the mat and Leviathan tags in Behemoth. He walks over to the still stunned Headhunter 2 and STANDS ON HIS FACE AND NECK!!! The crowd reacts in horror as the five hundred pound Behemoth tries to crush the man under his feet! Headhunter 1 pulls something out of his trunks...IT'S A FORK!!! He climbs to the top rope and DIVES ONTO THE TITAN!!! The fork hits Behemoth in the head and he instantly begins to bleed copiously! Leviathan comes into the ring and charges HH1. HH2 rises to his feet and attacks Behemoth, digging into his cuts and driving knees into his ribs and chest! This is chaos! All four men are battling at once! Leviathan pulls a chair into the ring...he rears back...THUNDEROUS CHAIR SHOT ON HH2!!! He might be out...the referee has left the ring as the wild melee spills out of the ring! The Titans double team HH2 on the floor as HH1 climbs to the top rope...HE DIVES...THE 380 POUND HEADHUNTER SPLASHES BEHEMOTH FROM THE TOP TO THE FLOOR!!!!! The referee is signaling the time keeper to ring the bell! The referee has ruled this match no-contest at 7:12.
All four giants continue to brawl in the stands and on the floor. It takes the entire ringside staff and all of the security in the building to break up the wild brawl!!! WHAT A WAR!


Johnny Ace & Kenta Kobashi
vs.
Maximum Carnage

Ace and Patriot come to the ring in street clothes and the crowd mumbles in confusion. The rumors of a no-show by Maximum Carnage appear to be true. All Japan Official Satoru Sayama enters the ring and picks up the house mike. "Due to the departure of Maximum Carnage from the NeWA, the winners of this match are Johnny Ace and The Patriot. They will advance to the second round." With that, Sayama shakes hands with The Patriot and Ace and leaves the ring.
The Patriot and Johnny Ace with the match by default and advance to the second round.

Mitsuhara Misawa & Jun Akiyama
vs.
Dark Reign

Misawa and Akiyama receive a big pop as they are introduced. The relative new comers, Dark Reign, stand in the opposite corner and seem to be talking some last minute strategy. Tom Jackson, the power man of Dark Reign, starts out against Jun Akiyama. The bell rings and the match begins. Akiyama and Jackson lock up collar and elbow. Akiyama gets a side headlock...Jackson THROWS Akiyama to the corner and flexes a huge right arm. Akiyama cautiously comes out again. They lock up again...side headlock by Jackson. Akiyama shoots him to the ropes...Jackson puts Akiyama down with a big shoulder block! He runs off the opposite ropes...Akiyama is up...BIG DROP KICK BY AKIYAMA!!! Jackson goes down! Akiyama pulls him up...big chop! Another chop by Akiyama staggers Jackson back to the corner. Akiyama mounts the turnbuckle...MONKEY FLIP! Jackson lands hard and looks for a tag. Akiyama pulls him up...misses a forearm shot...HUGE CLOTHESLINE BY JACKSON!!! He almost knocked Akiyama out of his boots! Jackson tags in Sledge Williams. Williams climbs to the top rope as Akiyama rises to his feet...MISSILE DROPKICK BY WILLIAMS!!! Akiyama goes down again! Williams pulls him to his feet and puts him down again with a beautiful flying leg scissors! Williams grabs Akiyama's leg and applies a step over toe hold. Akiyama reaches for the ropes...he makes it! The hold is broken. Akiyama struggles to his feet...Williams shoots him to the ropes...he goes for the backdrop...Akiyama leap frogs him...FLYING FOREARM BY AKIYAMA!!! Williams goes down and Akiyama tags in Misawa! Misawa pulls Williams up and lays in a series of chops! Williams returns the favor with a big forearm shot! Misawa backs into the ropes and rebounds with a big elbow smash! Williams goes down but catches Misawa in a drop toe hold on the way down. Misawa falls forward and Williams catches him in an ankle lock! Misawa is too far from the ropes...he's in a lot of pain! Akiyama comes into the ring and Tom Jackson comes in as well! A four way brawl erupts as Misawa escapes the hold and all four men begin to exchange blows. The ref orders Akiyama and Williams out of the ring as Williams catches Misawa in a FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX!!! ONE...TWO...KICKOUT!!! Williams pulls him up...GERMAN SUPLEX...ONE...TWO...KICKOUT ! Williams holds on...rolls Misawa over...ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX...rolls again...A THIRD GERMAN SUPLEX!!! ONE...TWO...THR..KICKOUT BY INCHES!!! What a series of moves by Williams!! Misawa rises to his feet and is nailed by a forearm. He staggers into the corner and lashes out with a big crescent kick! Williams goes down hard and Misawa tags in Akiyama! Akiyama pulls Williams up...NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!!! ONE...TWO...KICKOUT BY WILLIAMS!!! Akiyama pulls him up and whips him to the ropes...Williams ducks a clothesline and comes back with a dropkick! Akiyama goes down and Jackson tags in! Jackson whips Akiyama into the corner...follows him in...BIG CLOTHESLINE!!! Akiyama staggers forward and falls to the mat! Jackson drops a leg drop on the back of Akiyama's head! He rolls him over and goes for the pin...ONE...TWO...THR..KICKOUT! Wow, what a battle this is! Jackson pulls him up again...sets him...ICEBOMB BY JACKSON!!! This could be it...ONE...TWO...THR..MISAWA BREAKS UP THE PIN! All four men are in the ring again! Jackson pulls Akiyama up again and whips him to the corner...he charges in...Akiyama pulls his legs up and catches Jackson in a sunset flip...he can't get the big man over! Misawa momentarily stuns Williams with a big elbow! He spring boards off the ropes...big forearm to Jackson puts him back...AKIYAMA HAS HIM PINNED...ONE...TWO...THREE!!! Mitsuhara Misawa and Jun Akiyama defeat Dark Reign by pinfall at 27:55 to advance to the second round. All four men exchange hand shakes and Misawa and Akiyama raise Dark Reign's hands. The crowd stands and show their gratitude for a fantastic match!


The Hardy Boyz
vs.
Justin Simcox & The Great Muta

Simcox and Muta have been dark horse picks to win this tournament due to the fact that they have never been scouted together. They receive a good pop as they enter the ring. This is Simcox's second appearance in Japan. Muta is, of course, a living legend in Japan. The match starts off at a breakneck pace and all four men keep the match at that level of intensity for the first 15 minutes of the match! Jeff Hardy and Muta are in the ring. Hardy levels Muta with a dropkick, and moves in for the kill! He drops a big elbow on Muta and grabs him in a rear chinlock. Muta reaches back and tries to loosen the hold. Hardy breaks the hold and drops another elbow across Muta's face and head, then reapplies the hold! He releases the hold and goes for the pin...ONE...TWO...KICKOUT!!! Muta tries to roll away but Hardy pulls him up and throws him to the opposite corner. He charges in and nails Muta with a running back elbow! Muta staggers a couple of feet and falls face down. Jeff tags in his brother Matt. Matt pulls Muta up and hits him with an over the knee back breaker. Muta is in big trouble. Hardy pulls him up...ENGLISH BACK BREAKER! He goes for the cover again...ONE...TWO...THR..KICKOUT BY MUTA! A frustrated Hardy pulls him up and whips him to the corner...Muta reverses...he charges..HANDSPRING ELBOW IN THE CORNER BY MUTA!!! What a move! Hardy is stunned! Muta goes for the tag...GOT IT! Here comes Simcox! Simcox grabs Hardy and throws him to the ropes...he catches hardy in an Abdominal Stretch! He applies a rear cross face with his free arm! Hardy is right in the middle of the ring. Jeff Hardy climbs into the ring and breaks up the hold! Simcox turns around and FLOORS HARDY WITH A BIG CHOP! Simcox pulls Matt Hardy to his feet and whips him to the ropes...BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX BY SIMCOX. He tags Muta and pulls Hardy up! Standing powerslam by Simcox as Muta climbs up the ropes...MOONSAULT BY MUTA! Simcox stops Jeff from breaking the pin as Muta covers...ONE...TWO...THREE!!! Jeff Simcox and The Great Muta defeat The Hardy Boyz by pinfall at 21:47 to advance to the second round.

Round 2

Satoru Sayama comes to the ring to make yet another announcement. "Due to the out of control finish between The Headhunters and The Titans, the team of Johnny Ace and The Patriot receive yet another bye and will advance to the final round."

The Patriot and Johnny Ace advance to the finals via a bye.

Mitsuhara Misawa & Jun Akiyama
vs.
Justin Simcox & The Great Muta

Misawa and Akiyama come to the ring to a great pop from the crowd. The fans know this
will be the first time Misawa and Muta have faced each other. The actions starts off fast and furious as Akiyama and Muta exchange holds and reversals at a furious pace. Muta gets the upper hand and catches Akiyama in a nerve hold about fifteen minutes into the match. Akiyama is too far from the ropes to brake the hold. Muta doubles the pressure and chicken wings Akiyama's left arm. Akiyama rises to his feet, grabs Muta by the head and snap mares him over! Akiyama rebounds off the ropes and lands a big elbow drop on Muta. Muta is stunned and Akiyama goes for the tag. The crowd rises to it's feet as Misawa and Muta prepare to lock up for the first time in history. They lock up collar and elbow and Muta immediately takes Misawa down in a side head lock. Misawa reaches up and pulls Muta back in a head scissors. Muta rolls, falls back on Misawa and pins his shoulders to the mat. ONE...TWO...KICKOUT!!! Muta and Misawa rise to their feet at the same time. Misawa drops Muta with a big elbow! He pulls Muta up...VERTICAL SUPLEX! He rebounds off the ropes...misses an elbow drop! Muta rolls to his corner and makes the tag. Simcox charges into the ring and levels Misawa with a drop kick! Akiyama comes in to help his partner, and is met with a forearm shot that knocks him through the ropes! Simcox pulls Misawa up and shoots him to the ropes...SLEEPER HOLD!!! Misawa is in big trouble. He sinks to one knee and Simcox increases the pressure. Misawa is reaching for the ropes but Simcox drags him back to the center of the ring. Misawa struggles to his feet and tries for the ropes again. Simcox releases the hold...he hooks him...SIDE SUPLEX! He goes for the pin ...ONE...TWO... THR..KICKOUT! Misawa desperately needs a tag. Simcox pulls him to his feet and sets him for a suplex...Misawa blocks...BRAIN BUSTER BY MISAWA!!! Both men are motionless in the middle of the ring. Both begin to roll to their respective corners. They tag simultaneously, Akiyama and Muta charge into the ring. Muta puts Aikyama down with a spin kick, and signals for the figure four. He begins to apply the hold...INSIDE CRADLE BY AKIYAMA...ONE...TWO
...THREE! Mitsuhara Misawa and Jun Akiyama defeat Justin Simcox and The Great Muta by pinfall at 22:18 to advance to the finals.

Tournament Final

Johnny Ace & The Patriot
vs.
Mitsuhara Misawa & Jun Akiyama

After a brief intermission, the teams come to the ring. Ace and The Patriot look fresh and rested, having drawn two byes to reach the finals. Akiyama and Misawa, on the other hand have wrestled two very tough matches already tonight and look tired. The bell rings and the match begins. Misawa and Ace start off. Ace immediately tries to wear Misawa down further with a variety of submission moves. Misawa escapes from an armbar and throws Ace to the floor. Ace rises to his feet and Misawa sails over the top rope and connects with a suicide dive! Both men are down and The Patriot comes down to the floor. He pulls Misawa up and bodyslams him back to the floor! Ace climbs into the ring to wait for Misawa. Akiyama cheers his partner on as Misawa rolls into the ring, barely beating the twenty count into the ring. Ace pulls Misawa up, puts him in a side headlock and tags The Patriot. Patriot climbs to the top and drops an elbow on Misawa. Patriot runs off the ropes...LEGDROP!!! He got great elevation on that move. He goes for the cover...ONE...TWO...KICKOUT! Patriot pulls him up again and sets him for a powerbomb...Misawa blocks...backdrop by Misawa! He rolls to his corner as Patriot rises to his feet! Misawa tags in Akiyama, who charges into the ring riding the crest of his second wind! Akiyama hits Patriot with a big dropkick and puts him down! Ace comes in and is met with a series of chops by Akiyama! Ace staggers back and Akiyama momentarily forgets about The Patriot who rises to his feet and approaches Akiyama from behind. Patriot hooks him...BELLY-TO-BACK SUPLEX! Patriot pulls Akiyama up...POWERBOMB!!! He goes for the cover...ONE...TWO...THR..KICKOUT BY INCHES!!! Akiyama is in big trouble! Misawa is cheering him on from the outside. Patriot tags in Ace. Ace puts Akiyama in a camel clutch! The referee is asking Akiyama if he wants to continue...HE WONT GIVE UP!!! Ace pulls Akiyama up and sets him for the Ace Crusher...Akiyama pulls away...he dropkicks Ace in the back of the head!!! Akiyama makes the tag and Misawa charges in. The Patriot comes in as well and a four way brawl erupts! Ace shoots Misawa into the ropes...he ducks a clothesline...FLYING CROSSBODY!!! ONE...TWO...KICKOUT BY ACE! Akiyama and The Patriot are now exchanging blows on the floor. Misawa pulls Ace up...hooks his arms...DRAGON SUPLEX!!! ONE...TWO...THR..KICKOUT!!! Misawa pulls him up again...TIGERDRIVER BY MISAWA!!! He goes for the cover as Akiyama holds The Patriots boot, keeping him from interfering! ONE...TWO...THREE!!! Akiyama and Misawa have beaten the odds and won the tournament! Jun Akiyama and Mitsuhara Misawa defeat Johnny Ace and The Patriot by pinfall at 18:23 to win the All Asia Tag Team Championship.
