Mitsuhara Misawa came just inches from bring the NeWA World Heavyweight Championship to All Japan. Misawa and Mike Bell put on one of the greatest matches in All Japan history. Lets all hope for a rematch. In other news, the madman from the Sudan, Abdullah The Butcher, made a surprise appearance at the side of Stan Hansen. Whenever The Butcher goes anywhere, chaos follows, so stay tuned. The brackets for the Carnival of Champions Tournament will be posted sometime this week. The tournament will be held on Tuesday, August 31. If you are interested in competing, contact our offices and you will be considered. A change in All Japan policy has taken place. From now on All Japan cards will be held on Sunday nights as opposed to Friday.

Well, if Sunday night is any indication, Stan Hansen and Vader will be embroiled in this war for a long time to come! And with Terry Gordy entering the fray, who can tell what will happen next! In possibly THE BIGGEST UPSET IN ALL JAPAN HISTORY the tem of Ogawa and Kikuchi defeated Mitsuhara Misawa and Jun Akiyama to become the new All Asia Tag Team Champions. Our next card will be held on Aug. 6 in Yokohama and will be highlighted by a 20 man battle royal.

All Japan left it's mark in Kyoto this Friday. There were some great matches. The main event lived up to it's billing. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Yoshiniri Ogawa scored another huge upset and defeated the team of Doug Furnas and Don Kroffat. They must be considered to contenders for the All Asia Tag Team Championship. Another great show in Matsudo this weekend saw a
bloodbath between Stan Hansen and Vader! This war shows no signs of stopping anytime soon! Also, the new team of Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Yoshiniri Ogawa won in a huge upset over The Hardy Boyz. Keep your eyes on this team! Two more great Jr. Heavyweights made their All Japan debuts as well. Super Delphin and Taka Michinoku promise to be serious contenders for the All Asia Jr. Heavyweight title. This Friday, both Toshiaki Kawada and Masanobu Fuchi will receive re-matches for their respective titles they lost in Isikawa, so be sure to be there!"

What a night of action in Ishikawa! Two title changes in one night! Ultimo Dragon defeated Masanobu Fuchi for the All Asia Jr. Heavywwight Championship in a fantastic match. The main event lived up to it's billing. Toshiaki Kawada went down to defeat as Steve Williams pinned him to become the new PWF/United National Champion. The card for July 9 is now posted, and what a card it is. The fans in Ishikawa will be treated to, not one, not two, but THREE title matches, and in All Japan, title matches still mean something! All Japan will be taking a week off for several meetings with promoters and talent alike. But, never fear! All Japan Pro Wrestling will return on July 9 with a night of championship matches. The summer will continue to sizzle in the Land of the Rising Sun as we build to the Carnival of Champions singles tournament to be held in late August.

The Super Summer Challenge is now history and the Egg Dome witnessed some of the greatest matches ever wrestled. While the entire night was full of great action, the main event was one of the greatest matches ever wrestled. Mike Bell and our own Kenta Kobashi showed 80,000fans what a match between champions truly is! If a re-match is in thef uture, run, walk, swim or fly, do whatever you have to do but be there! Another incredible moment was when Ultimo Dragon made his surprise return to All Japan to fill in for the plane delayed Masanobu Fuchi. All Japan is pleased to announce that a huge card is scheduled for June 25 at the Egg Dome in Tokyo. The champions of All Japan will face some of the top talent from NeWA North America at this inter-promotional spectacular. In other news, the fans in Matsumoto were treated to a wild night of action that saw a brutal brawl between Vader and a surprise opponent, Stan "The Lariat" Hansen. If this confrontation is any indicator of what's to come, we are about to see a war. Steve Williams continued his winning ways by walking through Don Frye. The night was capped off with a CLASSIC between Toshiaki Kawada and Hiroshi Hase for the PWF/United National Heavyweight Championship! This one will be talked about for years to come and went down to the wire. Only in All Japan!

New All Asia Tag Team Champions were crowned after a fantastic one night tournament in Yokohama. Mitsuhara Misawa and Jun Akiyama walked out of the ring with the gold, defeating three fantastic teams on the way. In other news, "Jumbo" Tommy Tsuruta will be stepping away from active competition for the time being. He will continue to be very involved with All Japan and will be working behind the scenes in some capacity. Tsuruta will still wrestle from time to time as well. We wish the legendary champion all the best with his"semi-retirement".

Results from the Nagoya show are now up. We have a new All Asia Champion as Kenta Kobashi defeated Jumbo Tsuruta to claim the title.

Due to the split between the NeWA and the WWA/PWA, several of the greatest wrestlers in Japanese history a returning home to All Japan. Among these are Akira Taue, "Orange Crush" Kenta Kobashi, and the great Mitsuhara Misawa. Look for more fantastic talent to make it's way to All Japan in the NEAR future. Tokyo was treated to a great night of wrestling capped off by an AMAZING main event that saw Toshiaki Kawada succesfully defend the PWF/United National Championship in a fifty minute thriller. In other news, the All Japan Championship Comittee has decided to hold a one night tournament to decide the All Asia Tag Team Championship. The tournament will be held Friday, June 11th in Yokohama. The brackets will be announced later this week. Teams from the U.S. are invited to apply for entrance in the tournament. Maximum Carnage are already entered. If you are interested in competing, please contact the offices of All Japan by 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 30th.

In Sapporo, during a match against Hiroshi Hase, Stan Hansen sustained a broken arm and torn cartilage in his elbow. The All Japan Championship Committee met this morning and has declared the All Asia Tag Team Championship vacant by default. Doctors told Hansen that he will be out for at least four weeks, and that extends well past the mandatory defense deadline. The committee will meet again tomorrow to discuss filling the vacant titles. In other news, the card for Friday, May 28, is now posted. There is still room on this card so contact All Japan today about a far eastern tour.
