"Hostile
Intentions" detailed results
CWF/FWA-Carolinas
returned to Graham, NC on Saturday, June 29th for "Hostile
Intentions." A super crowd at the Graham Recreation Center
thoroughly enjoyed the action as they only got louder and louder
throughout the night.
The event opened
with a wild six-man bout as Seymour Snott, Johnny Blaze,
and Malaki defeated L.A. Stephens, Playboy Tripp,
and the Canadian Assasssin. It was non-stop action to
the end as Snott nailed a flying bodypress off the top rope on
the Canadian Assassin who on the shoulders of Blaze and Malaki.
Snott scored the pinfall afterwards at the 12:45 mark on the
Canadian Assassin.
The
Hostile Youth Project's founder, Brad Stutts, arrived
in the ring with HYP member J.T. Sparxx. Stutts once again
complained of the "establishment" of the CWF and offered
a challenge to any "old timer" in the back that wanted
a piece of the HYP. The crowd roared their approval as out to
accept the challenge was Cham Pain! Sparxx battled Cham
Pain fiercely but was caught in the "Pain Killer" inverted
DDT giving way to the pinfall victory by Cham Pain in 7:39.
Mikael Yamaha made his first public
appearance since suffering a potential career-ending back injury
the prior month at CWF/FWA-Carolinas' "Defiance". Yamaha's
heartfelt comments and his incredible emotion touched the roaring
crowd and then declared that he would indeed return to action
at CWF/FWA-Carolinas "Payback" on July 20 in Graham,
NC to a tremendous ovation.
The HYP vs.
Hirydaz war continued as Brad Stutts brought out Corey
Edsel and GeeStar to battle Gemini Kid and
Amber Holly. All four participants pulled out the stops
to defeat their opponents. Edsel countered a moonsault attempt
by Gemini with a top rope power bomb that nearly sent Gemini
through the ring. Edsel even tried to put out Amber Holly with
a standing choke and slammed her! It appeared that the Hirydaz
team were going to pull out the win even with obvious partiality
by referee Charles Richardson as Gemini drilled Edsel
with a "Shining Wizard" that has now
been confirmed to have given him a concussion. Richardson would
not count the fall and as Gemini argued with him Stutts blasted
Gemini with a metal baking sheet from behind. This sent Gemini
right into the waiting arms of Edsel who then hoisted Gemini
up and down into a devastating avalanche brainbuster. Edsel picked
up the pin at the 12:45 mark.
"NiteStic"
Eddie Brown
riding a 6-month streak as FWA Carolinas Heavyweight Champion,
faced the challenge of Otto Schwanz. Brown had earlier
in the night berated all the fans, the town of Graham and all
the wrestlers in the back that couldn't get the job done. Brown
said "no one in their right mind would want to challenge
me... only a crazy person would want to." Well there's none
crazier than Otto Schwanz!
Schwanz
looked to be the next victim of Brown's "night stick"
but somehow managed to kickout. Brown pounded Schwanz even more
but was scooped up coming off the ropes by Schwanz. One mightly
powerslam later, Schwanz scored the pinfall to become the new
FWA Carolinas Heavyweight Champion after a 14:40 title bout.
The crowd cheered Schwanz's victory over the much hated former
champion.
The
second of three title bouts was up next as the 2-Time FWA Carolinas
Tag Team Champions, The $outh$ide Playas, took on the
challenge of The Main Attraction ("Mr. Business"
Scott Powers and "Mr. Pleasure" Chris Steele). Both
teams have valid claims to be the "hottest tag team in the
Carolinas" and this night the team that left with the gold
would have the definite proof.
Both teams went
all out to grab the gold. Unfortunately for the Playas, Scott
Powers literally "grabbed the gold" and plastered J-Money
with the title belt, laying him out cold for the pinfall after
15:43 of tag team action. The Main Attraction took their new
tag team titles and exited as a new third member of the "Playas,"
Sweet Diddy came out to help his partners.
The
main event would be the third title bout of the evening. FWA
Carolinas Cruiserweight Champion, Sexton Tyler, put his
title on the line against the number one contender, "Slick"
Ric Converse. Converse was accompanied by his fellow HYP
members Special K and Brad Stutts. Once again,
referee Charles Richardson overlooked obvious rule infractions
and interference by the HYP turning the fans into a very angry
crowd. A "We Want Vern!" chant would start up every
time Richardson would intentionally ignore the violations. Richardson
was knocked down as Tyler landed his "Sexplex" on Converse,
leaving no one to count the fall. Valet Special K entered the
ring and hit Tyler with a chain but the referee was still out.
Manager Brad Stutts then took his metal baking sheet (complete
with dent from its previous use) into the ring to finish the
job. Tyler ducked at the last instant and Stutts nailed Converse
instead! Tyler rolled Converse up for the pinfall as the fans
erupted in cheers when FWA Carolinas Senior Referee Vern Stephens
slid in the ring to count the pin at the 10:14 mark. The fans
were on their feet cheering wildly for Tyler's successful title
defense against all odds.
After
the match, Converse and Special K left in disgust, leaving Stutts
in the ring by himself. But Stutts wasn't in the ring by himself
long as the Hirydaz (Sexton Tyler, Mikael Yamaha, Amber Holly,
and Gemini Kid) entered to let Stutts in on the "surprise"
he had coming. Stutts turned around and was then clotheslined
by Commissioner William L. Cross. The fans were estatic to see
Cross finally get the better of Stutts. Cross then unveiled his
"surprise" for Stutts which was a 6 foot single cage!
Stutts will be forced to be in the cage during any match involving
the HYP at next month's show in Graham on July 20th entitled
"Payback." The crowd then broke into a chant of "Put
him in the cage!" as they cheered their approval for "Payback."
