Triple Threat Match to determine the
Bracket I Qualifer for the Lou Thesz Tournament
Gary Brown vs. Power vs. Wendigo Rockamora
Brown had Rockamora hooked for his finisher, The Arc of Excellence.
Power nails Brown from behind with a double axehandle. Power throws Brown
over the top rope to the outside. He turns to grab Rockamora and execute
a DDT, but Rockamora knees him and hooks Power up for "The Howl"
- Rockamora nails it! Referee Jeff Richards counts: One, two, three!!!!
Wendigo Rockamora captures the Bracket I qualifying spot of the PNW Regionals
of the Lou Thesz International Champion of Champions Tournament. The
match ended with Rockamora pinning Power at 13:35. ***
Powerman 5000 vs. ZENITH
Though the two match up in height and weight, Powerman 5000 is much quicker.
He uses that quickness advantage throughout the match. Powerman shoots
ZENITH into the ropes and drops him with a jumping side kick. Powerman
picks him up and hooks a double arm DDT that lays ZENITH out. Powerman
picks him back up and whips him into the turnbuckle. Powerman sits ZENITH
up on the top turnbuckle and climbs up to meet him there. He stands on
the top rope, jumps up hooking his legs around ZENITH's head, flips back
and delivers a devastating top rope frankensteiner, which he calls the PM5K
Strike! Powerman covers ZENITH, referee Sandy Barr counts: One, two, three!!!
Powerman 5000 wins by pinfall in 7:12 in his debut match. **
Riot vs. Neurosis
The two big men circle the ring. Both appear to psyched up and ready to
fight. They finally lock up, but no one can gain an advantage, so they
push each other off. They lock up again, but again they push each other
off. The two go to lock up a third time but Riot ducks under and goes behind
Neuroris and takes a waistlock. Riot immediately picks Neurosis up and
over into a waistlock suplex. Neurosis is stunned as he lands on his head.
Riot is up quickly and drops a series of elbowdrops on the fallen Neurosis.
Riot goes for a quick pin. Referee Jeff Richards counts: One, two, kickout.
Riot is up and grabs Neurosis by the throat. He's going for a choke slam!
Neurosis thumbs Riot in the eye, then headbutts Riot right in the face!
Riot is backed into the corner. Neurosis is nailing Riot with punches,
one after the other. Neurosis whips Riot out of the corner into the far
corner. He follows Riot with a clothesline. Neurosis hooks Riot up and
delivers a brainbuster. But he doesn't go for the cover. Neuroris shoots
Riot into the ropes and levels him with a powerslam. Neurosis is laughing
loudly. He goes over to the ropes and laughs at the crowd. Neurosis picks
Riot up and sits him on the top turnbuckle. Neurosis climbs up and motions
to the crowd. He stuff's Riot's head between his legs...he's going for
a piledriver from the top rope! His finisher...the Ballistic Missle!!!
NO!!! Riot stands slightly, lifting Neurosis up, they're both in a very
dangerous position! Ohhhh...Neurosis is pushed off and he lands on the
top rope...crotch first!!!! Riot recovers and goes out of the ring to meet
Neurosis, who is lying on the concrete floor, holding himself. Riot picks
him up and slams him through a table!!! Riot follows that up with a whip
into the guardrail! The crowd is going wild!!! They're loving the action!!!!
Neuroris hits Riot with a low blow. He then nails a belly-to-belly suplex
on the floor! The crowd is on it's feet!!! The two are brawling all over
the ringside area and up the aisle! Referee Jeff Richards is still counting...8-9-10...he
signals for the bell. Both men are counted out. The match is ruled
a double disqualification at 12:18. ***
Claymore vs. Surge
Claymore goes straight for Surge as the match begins. He nails
Surge with a huge running clothesline that topples Surge right through the
ropes. Claymore follows him out and whips Surge into the ringsteps. Then
he rolls Surge back into the ring. Claymore picks him up and delivers a
reverse DDT. This could be it! Sandy Barr counts: One, two, Claymore
gets up. What's going on??? Oh, Claymore sees Senuous Susan up on the
apron. She's waving for Claymore to come over. He walks over to Susan
and she whispers something in his ear. Surge is up and nails Claymore as
he turns with a dropkick. Surge is all over Claymore. He whips Claymore
into the ropes and levels him with a clothesline. He covers...Barr counts:
One, two, kickout. Surge begins to work on Claymore's leg. Kicks, stomps,
and kneedrops to Claymore's left leg. He spreds Claymore's legs, steps
over, and applies the Scorpion Death Lock! Claymore is really hurting!
He's trying to make the ropes...he's not quite there. Referee Sandy Barr
is asking Claymore if he submits...NO! Claymore makes the ropes and Barr
calls for the break. Susan is back up on the apron...Surge walks over to
her, she slaps him!!! Claymore reaches up and school boys Surge over!
Referee Sandy Barr counts: One, two, three!!!! Claymore wins by pinfall
in 10:48. **1/2 Claymore goes over Surge and offers his hand. Surge refuses
at first but then shakes Claymore's hand. Susan is in the ring pointing
her finger in both of their faces...she slaps them both! Claymore and Surge
try to grab her but she slips out of the ring and into the arms of....Omega!
Omega and Susan are having words with Claymore and Surge. The crowd is
going nuts chanting "HIT HER, HIT HER, HIT HER!" Omega and Susan
finally walk back up the aisle. Claymore and Surge both raise their hands
together and the crowd cheers.
The Souther Rockers vs. England's Finest
"WHOOOO HOOOOO PNW!" England's Finest is being booed unmercifully.
The crowd really hates them and they haven't even started wrestling yet.
A chant breaks out, "England Sucks! England Sucks!" Chris MacManaman
begins the match against Stephen Doll. The two lock up and MacManaman picks
up and slams Doll. The boos intensify. MacManaman grabs Doll and brings
him into EF's corner. He tags in Jason Beckman and the two begin punching
Doll in the corner. Scott Peterson comes into the ring to break it up but
is cut off by referee Jeff Richards. EF shoots Doll into the ropes and
executes a double backdrop that lifts Doll high into the air. He crashes
down and Beckham covers him. Richards counts: One, two, kickout. Beckham
shoots Doll into the ropes and lands a headscissors takedown. Beckham cover
him again. One, two, kickout. Beckham whips Doll into their corner and
makes the tag. EF double teams Doll again. Peterson tries to come in but
referee Richards cuts him off again. MacManaman kicks Doll in the midsection
then hoists him up for a devastating powerbomb. He covers Doll. Richards
counts: One, two, Peterson nails MacManaman to break the count. Beckham
comes in and we have a four-way breaking loose. Richards has lost control
of the match...he's threatening to disqualify both teams. Beckham and Peterson
go out of the ring. They're brawling all over the ringside area. MacManaman
reverses Doll's attempt for a suplex. He picks Doll back up and executes
the England's Edge! MacManaman covers Doll. Richards counts: One, two,
three!!! England's Finest gains the pinfall victory at 9:52 as Chris MacManaman
pins Stephen Doll. **
Adam Fierce vs. Omega
Omega comes to the ring with Sensuous Susan. Adam Fierce enter
the ring to a mild pop. His reputation is known somewhat in the Pacific
Northwest. They lock up and Fierce grabs Omega's left arm and twists it.
He ducks under the arm and lifts Omega up and over for a slam, still holding
onto the arm. Fierce turns it into an armbar and applies more pressure.
Omega makes the ropes to break the hold. They lock up again and Omega
knees Fierce. He grabs Fierce's head and executes a bulldog. Omega covers
him. Referee Sandy Barr counts: One, two, kickout. Omega throws Fierce
out of the ring. The two battle at ringside. Omega whips Fierce over the
guardrail and into the crowd. They are brawling in the crowd!!! Sandy
Barr is counting...5-6-7-8-9...they re-enter the ring. Omega whips Fierce
into the rops and bends over. Fierce puts on the brakes, stuff's Omega's
head between his legs and executes an incredible piledriver. He covers
Omega. Referee Sandy Barr counts: One, two, three!!! Adam Fierce gets
the pinfall in 8:18. *3/4
Pacific Northwest Television Title Match
HICAL (c) vs. Power
The fans cheer both competitiors as they are introduced. HICAL
grabs Power and whips him into the ropes. He bounces off and is leveled
by a big elbow to the face from HICAL. He kicks Power and then picks him
up for a bodyslam. HICAL lands a clothesline. He signals for the HICAL
Bomb. HICAL hooks him up for it but Power counters by standing up, backdropping
HICAL. Power backs HICAL into the ropes and burns his chest with a series
of stiff chops. The crowd is loving it. He whip HICAL into the ropes.
Power catches HICAL coming off the ropes, spins with him and delivers a
spinebuster!!! Power floats over into a cover. Referee Jeff Richards counts:
One, two, three!!! Power scores the pinfall at 9:48 and is the
new Television Champion. ***1/4
Pacific Northwest Tag Team Title Match
The Alpha Males (c) vs. Maximum Carnage
Promoter Don Owens has beefed up security for this match, as
The Crazy Ones are fueding with both teams. They are known to attack their
future opponents and Owens thinks they might again tonight. But with this
contingent of armed guards, they will not be able to interfere. Owens takes
the microphone and addresses the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen. Tonight
you have the opportunity to see two of the greatest tag team in the National
eWrestling Alliance. I believe that both these teams will someday hold
the World Tag Team Titles." The crowd cheers but there are some very
audible boos as well. "Tonight you will get to see this fantastic
title match, uninterrupted by those...those....those lunatics, The Crazy
Ones." The crowd cheers but still, there is a section that boos.
"Tonight, I have in place, highly trained and heavily armed guards
that can and will prevent any...and I mean any...interference from The Crazy
Ones." One again there are cheers mixed slightly with boos. "In
fact, tomorrow night as the pay-per-view, Halloween Hell '98, I will get
my revenge against The Crazy Ones and The Serial Thrillaz. I will be the
one that spins the deadly wheel and determines what match they fight in."
A chorus of cheers erupts. "So, without further delay....let's get
ready to rummmmble!"
Maximum Carnage makes their way to the ring along with manager
Kimona Wanalaya. The Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champions, The Alpha Males
make their way down next to a huge ovation. The match begins with Fenris
Cole and Lord Maximus. They lock up and Cole hits a snap mare. He follows
that with a big kick to the head of Lord Max. Cole tags in his partner
holds Lord Max. Rockamora comes in and kicks Lord Max right in the stomach.
Rockamora nails him with a standing belly-to-belly suplex. He covers Lord
Max. Referee Jeff Richards counts: One, two, kickout. Rockamora tags
in Cole. They whip Lord Max into the ropes and give him a double clothesline!
Cole covers him. Richards counts: One, two, Mt. Maximus makes the save.
Mt. Max picks up Cole and drills him with a German suplex. Lord Max makes
the tag and Mt. Max continues to pound on Cole. He picks up Cole for a
Death Valley Driver...he nails it!!!! Mt. Max covers Cole. Richards counts:
One, two, Rockamora makes the save. All four are in the ring brawling.
Cole whips Mt. Max as Rockamora whips Lord Max and Maximum Carnage collide
in mid-ring! The lights are out! What's going on??? Is this a blackout???
How can we tell what's happening??? There! The lights are back on...in
the ring...WAIT! All four are laid out cold...even the referee!!!! LOOK!!!
DOWN THE AISLE!!! IT'S THE CRAZY ONES!!! They're making their way out
of the building...listen to their sick laugh. We've got to get some medics
in the ring to check out the wrestlers and the referee. This match will
have to be ruled a no contest.
Western States Heritage Title Match
Gary Brown (c) vs. Buddy Landel
Buddy Landel knees Gary Brown as they lock up. He chops Brown
back into the corner. A European uppercut stuns Brown. Landel locks on
an abdominal stretch. Referee Sandy Barr asks Brown if he wants to submit....NO!
Landel is using the ropes for added leverage...Barr catches him and forces
the break. Landel is choking Brown against the ropes. Barr is warning
Landel..1-2-3-4 he breaks. Landel picks Brown up and lands a kneebreaker!
Landel picks up the leg and locks on the Figure-4..this could be it!!!
Brown is struggling....he makes the ropes. Landel is up and on the leg
again. Brown is fighting to exit the ring. Landel pulls him back in and
whips him into the ropes. Brown reverses it and catches Landel with a powerslam!
Sandy Barr counts: One, two, kickout. Brown picks up Landel and executes
a vertical suplex. Brown bounces into the ropes and catches Landel with
a big elbow drop. Barr counts: One, two, kickout. Brown hits Landel with
a DDT!!!! He covers Landel...one, two, shoulder up! Brown pulls Landel
up...OOOOOHHH! A low blow by Landel. Brown is on the mat...he's in some
serious pain. Landel shakes out the cobwebs and grabs Brown's left leg.
He drops a knee right into the inside of the leg. He's really cranking
on it now. Brown is in some trouble. Landel signals for his Figure-4.
He spins but Brown kicks him off. Brown is up and Landel nails another
European uppercut. He shoots Brown into the ropes, Brown reverses it, and
flips Landel high in the air with a backdrop! Brown is going for the Arc
of Excellence...but Landel counters it with a small package!!! Referee
Sandy Barr counts: One, two, Brown shifts his weight and rolls the small
package over slightly putting Landel's shoulders down. Referee Sandy Barr
counts: One, two, three! Gary Brown sucessfully defends his title by
pinning Landel in 18:41. ***1/2
World Television Title Match
Stephen Greer (c) vs. The Grappler PNW Champion
Our main event...The Pacific Northwest Champion, The Grappler
makes his way into the ring. He holds up the title belt to a chorus of
boos. Next in the ring is the NeWA World Television Champion, "The
King of Pain" Stephen Greer. At his side, his manager, Kelly Evans.
The crowd begins to boo them too. It looks like the fans would like to
see them just beat each other to death. The bell rings and The Grappler
takes the quick advantage with a takedown. He floats over and grabs a front-facelock.
Greer is trying to escape but The Grappler is using his matwork expertise
to hold on and wear down Greer. The Grappler shoots Greer into the ropes.
Greer comes off with a kick to the midsection. He spins The Grappler around
and nails a reverse neckbreaker! Greer covers him...Sandy Barr counts:
One, two, kickout. Greer presses his advantage. He takes The Grappler
and lands a beautiful DDT. Greer covers him...One, two, foot in the ropes!
Greer picks up The Grappler, shoots him into the ropes and goes for a flying
forearm...but The Grappler ducks! The Grappler picks up Greer and nails
him with a huge kneelift. The Grappler goes to the top turnbuckle...he
leaps off with a flying headbutt! He connects!!! The Grappler covers Greer.
Referee Sandy Barr counts: One, two, The Grappler moves! OOOOOWWWW!!!!
That's why he moved!!! Kelly Evans swung that kendo stick at The Grappler
but he moved and she hit Greer right in the stomach! The Grappler snatches
the kendo stick from Evans and is threatening to hit her with it. The crowd
is loving it. They're chanting, "HIT HER! HIT HER! HIT HER!"
Greer has rolled out of the ring and calls for Evans. She ducks under
the second rope and into Greer's arms. The Grappler is standing in the
ring, holding the kendo stick. The crowds is going crazy!!! Greer and
Evans are walking up the aisle...the crowd is booing now! Referee Sandy
Barr is counting...8-9-10...he signals for the bell. Greer has been counted
out. The Grappler wins by disqualification at 15:48. ***
