What a finale for Don Owens' farewell show...the "Night of Champions" in Seattle, Washington. This card was full of action from start to finish. No doubt there will be some big rematches from the happenings...we're not giving away any of the finishes here...you'll have to read the full results.
Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved with PNW. Together we have put one hellava promotion that has earned the name of "the proving grounds." And don't think for one minute that PNW won't continue to be one of the toughest promotions in the National eWrestling Alliance just because I'm stepping down as PNW President. I'm handing over the reigns to my close friend, Sandy Barr. I know he will continue to the tradition that is PNW. You better cinch up your belt because I know ole Sandy will have some wild rides in store for you all.
And no, Don Owens isn't leaving. I'll still make my home here in Portland. And you can be sure that anytime I can make it to a PNW show, I'll be there to see everyone. I look forward to seeing a lot of you in the next NeWA PPV. You are some of the best in the world today...and I want to see you prove it to everyone.
Feel free to contact me via e-mail or ICQ. But starting today, you'll need to contact Sandy Barr when it comes to bookings and such. See ya soon!

An incredible night in what was supposed to be a small house show in Corvallis, Oregon, saw some great action and a spontaneous World Tag Team Title Match. Two titles changed hands in some exciting bouts. "Superstar" Jason Ramsey captured the Oregon State Title from Travis Cage. But the biggest upset saw "Big Country" Chris Mann challenge The World Tag Team Champions, The Crazy Ones, for the belts...and win! You've got to read all the results of this one!

PNW's first show in Canada was a huge success at the General Motors Palace in Vancouver. Unbeatable downed The Legends to move into the finals for the PNW Tag Team Title Tournament. They will face The Overlords in the final match. TNF Champ, Jimmy Silver clicked off his second title defense and it moving towards a PNW Title match.
The main event saw Powerman 5000 push NeWA Canadian Champion, Apollo, to the limit. Powerman 5000 heard the cheers from the fans for the first time in a long time as the former PNW Champion laid claim to the Canadian Title. The results of this match will certainly force a rematch between these two very soon.

A new NeWA United States Champion was crowned in Texas on a WCCW show. Matt Tulio upset Slim Dragger to win the title.

The Vancouver, Washington show was quite a success. New PNW Cruiserweight Champion, RazorBlade, turned some heads in his first title defense against Jon Palmero. Also impressive was the duo of Jake Rockwell & Kurt Wolf in their win over The Nighthawks. From the actions of Tanis, the Nighthawk leader seems to be upset with the team of Magna and Vukota.
Don't forget the big card on Saturday in Spokane, Washington, as the NeWA World Television Champion, Omega, defends against perenial NeWA title contender, Powerman 5000. The DWA vs. Death Squad fued breaks down into singles competition as Mike Bell battles Bo Justice for the Western States Heritage Title, Mike Mayhem defends the TV Title against Chris Mann, and Jason Ramsey grapples with Oregon State Champion, Travis Cage in a non-title match.
The PNW Title is up for grabs in a Triple Threat Match as champion, J.B. Magnum, faces former champion, Power, and current NeWA Toronto/IWA Champion, Tanis. Power and Tanis received this match based on our internet voting booth poll of PNW fans.
The PNW Tag Team Tournament will place the first finalist as The Overlords meet the challenge of Mr. Arrogance's team of Peter Coldova & Hephestus. The winner of the bout will face the winner of the upcoming match between Unbeatable and The Legends.

WAR GAMES II at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland brought out Portland's Finest to stop the riot inside the cage. The match did not end the fued, it has only made it more intense. You'll want to read all about it to see what surprising things went down inside the caged double ring.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of them all was the appearance of MCeW President, Paul Ledbetter along with Douglas Dream. Ledbetter made a special announcement regarding Dream and the PNW. It appears that the HellRazas have aligned themselves with the "New Tradition" of Ledbetter.
A new PNW Cruiserweight Champion was crowned as RazorBlade knocked off Jim Dalton with a little help from...Willow the Whisp. No word on whether Willow has joined Mr. Arrogance's stable or not.
We're down to four teams in the PNW Tag Team Tournament. The Overlords will face Coldova & Hephestus while The Legends square off against Unbeatable to determine the final two teams.
Mar 5, 1999
One day away from WAR GAMES II at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland and two special added attractions have been announced. The NeWA World Cruiserweight Champion, Hyuk Suh Kim, will tempt fate as he literally becomes David in a battle against a Goliath-like giant and former NeWA World Television Champion, Titan. While Hyuk has been met with only success in his short career in the NeWA and has even managed to chalk up some wins against some heavyweights, his desire to earn the honor of his fellow competitors could end his career when he steps in the ring with Titan.
Also added is a mixed tag team match in a prelude to The Wrestling Classic '99 as the NeWA World Heavyweight Champion, Nightmare, teams with his manager Lady Death to face Stephen Greer and his manager, Kelly Evans. This will be a tune up for their big title match at the up-coming pay-per-view in Toronto.
The PNW Tag Team Tournament will narrow even further with two more tourny bouts. Because of the tournament, The Grappler will be forced to wrestle twice in the same night. resulting from an open contract between The Grappler and new NeWA United States Champion, Slim Dragger, The Grappler will have to wrestle in the tag tournament and get his shot at the US Title in the same night.
New NeWA World Television Champion, Omega, was face his long-time nemesis, Neurosis, in his first title defense in PNW. These two have quite a history and this match could prove to be another barn burner.
And in the main event, the WAR GAMES pits the DWA against their former members now known as The Death Squad. The first WAR GAMES spawned the Death Squad. This time the DWA intends it to be the termination of them. This match will not be for the weak of heart or stomach, as extreme violence and blood-letting is a certain consequence of this type of match.
Only a few select seats remain at the Rose Garden Arena ticket booth. You won't want to miss this exciting night of wrestling action!

The Tuesday Night Fights were on the road again, this time in Idaho Falls, Idaho. A new TNF Champion was crowned as Jimi Silver survived the battle royal and won the main event match. Several important happenings also at the show include a couple of challenges, as Neurosis attacked the IoV and NeWA World Cruiserweight Champion, Hyuk Suh Kim, challenged (of all people) Titan! The smallest man in the NeWA versus the biggest man in the NeWA...it could happen!
There was also some kind of friction between Death Squad members, Bo Justice and Mike Mayhem. We'll be keeping a close eye on this.
NeWA World Hardcore Tournament champion was crowned at the NeWA MidWest / AWA show in Detroit as "The Extreme Franchise" Tyrone Walker defeated Neurosis in the championship match.
